Who can live at The Broadview at Vanderbilt?
We lease to Vanderbilt graduate and professional students, faculty, and staff. With our waterfall, subject to open to undergraduate students, postdoc, research assistants, etc.
What is the cost?

When is my first payment due?
The first payment is due by your move-in date. For example, if your lease is signed with an August 12th move-in date, then payment will be due on or before August 12th. The next payment is due on the first of the following month.
Are the apartments furnished?
We have furnished options available for select floorplans. Our furnished apartments come with a full mattress with a bedframe, a desk and desk chair, two stackable dressers, and a 43” smart TV. Our one-bedroom and two-bedroom furnished apartments additionally come with a sofa and a coffee table in the living room.
Can additional furniture be brought into the apartment?
You are welcome to bring additional furniture with you. We cannot take any of our furniture out of our furnished apartments.

Do you allow pets?
Yes, we are a pet friendly community. You will have to pay a refundable pet deposit of $250.00 and a monthly pet rent of $25.00.
What if I don’t like my apartment when I move in?
We do our best to accommodate preferences based on our availability. We offer unit transfers for a one-time fee of $400.
Are there laundry facilities?
Every apartment comes with an in-unit washer/dryer.
What is the square footage of the apartments?
Studios range from 267-319 square feet, one bedrooms are 422 square feet, and two bedrooms are 636 square feet.
Do I need a guarantor?
This depends on your screening results.
Will you send me a bill for each installment?
We do not send any invoices, but for your convenience, you can use our online resident portal to check your balance at any time. The front page of your agreement dictates exactly when each payment is due.
What insurance is needed?
Insurance is a requirement. You can use any insurance provider of your choice. However, if you don’t currently have one, we can connect you with Assurant a preferred provider we work with.
Can I relet my apartment/bed space?
We do allow reletting. Please contact the office to learn more about this process and how to complete it accurately. An early termination fee will apply.
Are app/admin fees refundable?
All application and administrative fees are non-refundable.
How are roommates matched?
Roommates can be matched in a couple of different ways -- either you tell us who you want to live with, or if you don't have roommates in mind, we are happy to do the matching for you! We use the information that you and your potential roommates fill out on your roommate questions on the application to pair you up. Although we cannot guarantee a perfect match, you can rest assured that we do try to find the best match possible.

If I pay in full, do I get a discount?
The Broadview at Vanderbilt does not offer discounts for rent paid in full. However, prepayment gives you peace of mind knowing that your account is in good standing at all times!
Is parking available?
Onsite parking is not available. Permit parking is available through Vanderbilt parking services - https://www.vanderbilt.edu/transportation-parking.
What types of leases are available?
We offer 12 installment leases, 10 installment leases, and 5 installment leases. The lease terms are August 12, 2026 - July 22, 2027, August 12, 2026 – May 20, 2027, and August 12, 2026 – December 15, 2026.
What utilities are included in my rent?
All utilities are included in your monthly installment. The included utilities are water, sewer, electric, trash, high speed internet, pest control, & furnishing (if applicable). However, renters’ insurance is not included.
Can I pay my bill with a credit card? Is there an extra charge?
Great news! We have a feature that lets you pay online. View your balance, submit electronic checks, or pay with a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover from any computer. You can even submit maintenance requests. Just log onto our website and click the "Resident's" tab and then click "Pay Now" after logging in. There is a convenience charge for this service.
When can I move in?
We are currently leasing for Fall 2026.
What is a "renewal?"
Are you loving it here and can't imagine leaving at the end of your lease? By signing a renewal, you get to extend your stay in your community.
Can I request different roommates?
We want you to be comfortable here, and we will do everything we can to accommodate your roommate requests.
If I renew, will my guarantor have to sign again?
Yes, your guarantor will have to sign again for your new lease.
If I renew, do I have to move out then move back in?
When you renew and choose to stay in your current bedroom/apartment, you are not required to move.

How do I renew?
We know how busy you are, so we have made the process as quick and easy as possible. Renewing is as easy as "1, 2, 3!" Just following these steps:
1. Open your renewal email from us.
2. Review the terms, and click "Accept"
3. Follow the prompts to sign the new lease agreement.
It's that easy!
When do I start paying the new rent amount?
On the next month of your new lease.

You would make your first payment on August 1st for new rent amount
